Dr. Victoria Ryan earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Boston University, Master's degree in Social Work from Fordham University, Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York, NY and a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health Sciences in San Diego, CA. She is board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed to practice acupuncture in New York, Connecticut and Tennessee. She is also licensed in NY and CT as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and in CT as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), having retired in good standing, a NY State CASAC credential.

 

2026 marks 20 years that Dr. Ryan has been working as a Licensed Acupuncturist. She went to acupuncture school following her own fertility journey, driven initially by the passion to help others struggling to achieve pregnancy. She worked in private practice in NYC and also for Greenwich Hospital in Greenwich, CT where as a psychotherapist, she was responsible for all clinical aspects of the substance detoxification program from emergency department and outpatient admission through discharge and referral.  She was also appointed to the medical staff of the Hospital's Department of Psychiatry as an acupuncturist.

 

In 2016 Greenwich Acupuncture Clinic was born and after almost 10 years, Dr. Ryan relocated to Nashville, TN where she continues her work with the same passion. Her approach is unique because Dr. Ryan is able to effectively address emotional aspects behind common concerns that may exacerbate physical conditions or impede healing by integrating a behavioral health component to care.  While she specializes in women's health, reproductive medicine, pain management and addiction, Dr. Ryan treats a wide variety of concerns. In recent years she has added a focus in functional medicine and continues to deepen her knowledge informally via her mentor and formally as a student at Functional Medicine University.

 

Dr. Ryan's unique combination of education and experience afford her the opportunity to provide a holistic approach to care; treating body, mind and spirit. She is dedicated to empowering clients to feel better, stronger and reach their physical and emotional wellness goals.
